4. What products do I need in my situtation? It’s always a good idea to have a security screen door on your main external entrances and a deadbolt on your timber door for greater security. We can also install window locks and patio bolts to increase the security to your home.

What warrenties and maintenence services does Discount Security offer its customers? Supascreen is covered by a 10 Year warranty and is recommended to be cleaned once a month with a microfibre cloth and dried immediately.

We also offer an 18 month warranty on all operating hardware.7. Door Maintenence and Product Care Regular cleaning is required to maintain the warranties. Wash the frames and grille with a microfibre cloth and warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. Between Winter and Summer houses generally move with the cold & heat. If you are having trouble opening your doors after Winter it’s more than likely your timber jamb has expanded with the warmer weather. This is normal and will pass over time.
8. Pool security: what do the authorities require? New rules state that all pools and ponds that are deeper than 300mm require fencing within the next 5 years. If you are selling your home this is required to be completed before sale. Supascreen panels can be used as fencing materials.
9. What are the differences in Stainless Steel products on the market? Some Stainless Steel mesh products currently available are on 304 Stainless Steel mesh. As 304 is not Marine Grade it can in a short period of time suffer from an ecletic reaction due to metal to metal contact creating rust. This is why Supascreen mesh is compressed into the frame and not screwed into the frame. Worry free purchasing when buying Supascreen!
